Touched by a Mortal
I see him drifting cross my mind. His feet were off the ground, and I was tempted to help him. I'd tether him to reality, but I loved seeing him free. Free of the pain and suffering. Free of the love and happiness.
He was an empty shell with no sense of where he was.
He loops again, but this time color returned to his eyes.
He looked at me, smiled and waved. I ran towards him and outstretched my arms to welcome him to this beautiful Earth.
“Thank you,” he said before vanishing into thin air.
